Welcome to Literary Dundee
Literary Dundee is a cultural organisation, part of the University of Dundee, which celebrates readers and writers, and brings the best writers in the world to Dundee.
We support the literary community in Dundee through the Dundee Literary Festival (October) [download your copy of this year’s programme or browse it online], publications such as New Writing Dundee, projects such as the Dundee International Book Prize, and a series of year round events, including our Literary salons and Literary Lock-In, produced in partnership with bright sparks within the University and outside it.
The 2015 Dundee Literary Festival programme is launched and features famous faces with incredible debut books, like Nick Frost and Gregor Fisher. We say don’t miss iconic, award-winning Scottish writers Jackie Kay and Janice Galloway. We urge you to dive into our events with new voices, such as Lucy Ribchester, Malachy Tallack, Catherine Simpson and William Goldsmith. We want you to bring the whole family along – we have events for kids, for comics fans and talks for the curious, whatever you’re curious about, whether that’s the human body or baking, Ladybird books, censorship or suffragettes.
